The challenge
Kier Construction needs your help to raise £200k for local charities and Alzheimer’s.
The 2020 challenge is a green journey linking each Kier Construction regional business in the UK.
- The relay will start at Kirkwall on Orkney, the most northerly Kier Construction site
- Teams can only use green, non-motorised transport to travel from each location
- Kier employees, clients, consultants and suppliers will all take part
- Transport methods include: walking, cycling, swimming, running, space-hopper bouncing, sailing, horse-riding, canoeing, climbing...
- The journey must be completed in 2020 hours and take in all Kier offices and as many sites as possible
- The relay will be complete when the last team reaches our Truro office in Cornwall
- Over 2,000 people will carry the baton on the journey route
- Media coverage will be targeted to local and regional media and the challenge will be featured on Kier’s social media channels for the duration of the challenge
- Along with Alzheimer’s Society, Kier’s charity partner, Kier employees have chosen local charities to benefit from our fundraising
